    Itinerary

    A driver will be waiting for you at the airport to take you to your riad in the medina. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to explore the area. In the evening, you'll enjoy dinner with your guide.

    • Overnight: Riad Zahri or similar (D)

    You will be picked up from your accommodation in Marrakech between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m. This is followed by a drive across the vast Lhouze plain to the provincial town of Azilal, where we'll have lunch. In the afternoon, we continue on a dirt road over the Tizi n'Tichka Pass (2,900 m) to Ait Bougemez, the "Valley of the Fortunate." After a welcome cup of tea, we stroll through the Berber village of Agouti. It has a population of approximately 500 to 600 and is located at an altitude of 1,800 meters.

    • Overnight stay: mountain hut (B/L/D)

    In the morning, you'll meet our team with their mules, which will transport your luggage and provisions. We'll hike up the valley through fertile fields and Berber villages to our first host family in the village of Rbat (1950 m). Rbat is the last village in the valley and surrounded by mountains almost 4000 meters high. Elevation difference: + 150

    The second day of hiking begins with a short climb and crossing of the Adazen Pass into the neighboring valley, to the beautiful village of Ifran. From the pass, you can enjoy beautiful views over the valley and the peaks of the Atlas Mountains, such as M'Goun (4,068 m). Elevation gain: +200 m / -30 m.

    • Overnight: Mountain hut (B/L/D)

    After a delicious breakfast, we hike up the valley to Ait Ouchi, reaching the idyllic Lake Izourar. We picnic by the lake, near large flocks of sheep and goats. The local nomads have also set up their camel wool tents. In the afternoon, we begin a leisurely descent along the river back to Ait Ouchi. Elevation difference: + 200 m / - 30 m |

    • Overnight stay: mountain hut (B/L/D)

    e enjoy a hearty breakfast and set off. On an easy day hike, we pass the valley's traditional villages. Their earth-colored mud houses blend seamlessly into the landscape. Along the way, we visit the "Sidi Moussa," an old granary on a large pyramid-shaped hill in the center of the valley. Elevation difference: + 200 m / -

    • 30 m Overnight stay: Guesthouse (B/L/D)

    We leave the Ait Bougemez Valley and drive over the Tizi n'Oughbar Pass back to Marrakech. En route, we visit the Ouzoud Waterfalls, the highest waterfalls in Morocco. We arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon. Take some time for yourself! You can relax in a traditional hammam or explore further on your own. Discover the Menara public park or the Majorelle Gardens. You can also visit the medina with its sights: the Koutubia Mosque, the enormous Jemaa el Fna square, and the colorful souks with their oriental scents.
