Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech

Arrival in Marrakech

Welcome to Morocco! Upon arrival at Marrakech Menara Airport, your driver from Morocco Travel Igoudan will welcome you and transfer you to your traditional riad in the Medina.

Depending on your arrival time, enjoy your first discovery of the famous Jemaa El-Fna Square, the vibrant heart of Marrakech, filled with musicians, storytellers, and street food. You may also explore the traditional souks, famous for carpets, spices, and handmade crafts.

  • Overnight: Marrakech

Guided City Tour of Marrakech

After breakfast, meet your local guide for a fascinating discovery of Marrakech.

Visit the main historical monuments, including Koutoubia Mosque (outside visit), Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, and the colorful souks of the Medina. Free afternoon to explore the city, visit Majorelle Garden, or relax in a traditional Moroccan hammam.
  • Overnight: Marrakech

Marrakech → Ait Ben Haddou → Zagora

Depart towards the High Atlas Mountains via the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260 m) with spectacular mountain views.

Visit the famous Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a popular film location. Continue through Ouarzazate and the beautiful Draa Valley, the largest palm oasis in Morocco. Arrival in Zagora, gateway to the desert.

  • Overnight: Zagora

Zagora → M'hamid → Erg Chigaga

After breakfast, drive to M’hamid, the last village before the Sahara. From here begins an exciting 4×4 off-road journey across desert landscapes.

Reach the spectacular Erg Chigaga dunes, the largest dunes in Morocco. Enjoy a camel ride at sunset, followed by a traditional dinner and Berber music around the campfire.

  • Overnight: Luxury Desert Camp

Erg Chigaga → Lake Iriki → Foum Zguid

Wake early to admire the beautiful sunrise over the Sahara dunes.

After breakfast, continue your adventure crossing the vast dry Lake Iriki, a unique desert landscape once used by the Paris-Dakar Rally. Arrival in Foum Zguid, a small desert town at the edge of the Anti-Atlas Mountains.

  • Overnight: Foum Zguid

Foum Zguid → Taznakht → Taroudant → Agadir

After breakfast, drive through Taznakht, famous for traditional Berber carpets.

Continue through the landscapes of the Anti-Atlas Mountains towards Taroudant, often called “Little Marrakech” because of its beautiful city walls and traditional souks. Continue to Agadir, Morocco’s modern seaside city. Free time to walk along the beach promenade or visit the Agadir Marina.

  • Overnight: Agadir

Agadir → Marrakech

After breakfast, depart for Marrakech through the beautiful Argan tree region, where goats are often seen climbing the trees.

Arrival in Marrakech in the afternoon. Free evening to enjoy the Medina or local restaurants.

Marrakech → Airport

After breakfast, transfer to Marrakech Airport depending on your flight schedule.
