Our one-day tour begins in Zagora after a traditional Moroccan breakfast. Your driver and guide will pick you up and lead the journey south toward Mhamid Elghizlane. Along the way, we will follow the scenic Draa River, passing through charming Berber villages, lush date palm groves, and impressive historic kasbahs.
Tamgroute Village
Our first stop is Tamgroute, renowned for its underground kasbah, centuries-old Koranic library, and distinctive pottery workshops. This visit provides a fascinating glimpse into the region’s cultural and spiritual heritage.

Before reaching Mhamid, we will pause to take photos of the stunning landscapes along the Draa Valley.
Arrival in Mhamid Elghizlane
Arriving in Mhamid Elghizlane, a small desert town with a tranquil atmosphere, you’ll experience the place where the paved road ends and the vast Sahara begins. Here, we will enjoy lunch in a desert lodge or nomadic tent, savoring traditional Moroccan dishes such as tajine, couscous, or grilled meats while soaking in the peaceful desert surroundings.
Optional Adventure at Erg Lihoudi
For those seeking extra adventure, we can arrange a short 4×4 or camel ride into the first dunes of Erg Lihoudi, offering a brief but unforgettable taste of the vast Sahara.
Return to Zagora
