Welcome to capital city
Rabat is the political and administrative capital of Morocco, located along the Atlantic Ocean. It is a city that blends modernity with rich history, featuring colonial architecture, lush gardens, and UNESCO-listed historical sites. The city is home to the Moroccan government, royal palaces, and important institutions. Rabat offers a calm and organized atmosphere compared to other major Moroccan cities like Casablanca and Marrakech.
Rabat has a deep history dating back to the 12th century, when it was founded by the Almohad dynasty. Sultan Yacoub al-Mansour built the city as a fortress to defend against invaders, but after his death, the city declined. It later flourished under the French protectorate (1912–1956) when it was chosen as Morocco’s capital, a status it retains today.
