7 days of an unforgettable Morocco Desert Discovery
Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech

Welcome to Morocco! Upon arrival at Marrakech Menara Airport, your driver from Morocco Travel Igoudan will welcome you and transfer you to your traditional riad in the Medina.
Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy a first discovery of Marrakech by visiting the famous Jemaa El-Fna Square, the lively heart of the city filled with musicians, storytellers and food stalls.
You may also walk through the colorful souks where artisans sell carpets, spices, leather goods and traditional crafts.

Day 2: Guided City Tour of Marrakech

After breakfast meet your local city guide for a cultural discovery of Marrakech. You will visit the most important historical sites including:
• Koutoubia Mosque (outside visit)
• Bahia Palace – a masterpiece of Moroccan architecture
• Saadian Tombs
• The colorful traditional souks
• The famous Jemaa El-Fna Square
In the afternoon you may visit the Majorelle Garden or relax in a traditional Moroccan hammam.

Day 3: Marrakech → Ait Ben Haddou → Dades Valley

After breakfast depart towards southern Morocco.
You will cross the spectacular High Atlas Mountains via the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260 m) with breathtaking panoramic views of Berber villages and valleys.
Stop to visit the legendary Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and famous filming location for movies such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones.
Continue to Ouarzazate, often called the “Hollywood of Morocco”.
Drive through the beautiful Valley of Roses before arriving in Dades Valley, known for its dramatic rock formations.

Day 4: Dades Valley → Todra Gorge → Merzouga Desert

After breakfast travel through the beautiful landscapes of southern Morocco.
Stop at the spectacular Todra Gorge, where massive canyon walls rise nearly 300 meters high, creating one of Morocco’s most impressive natural sites.
Continue through desert landscapes and palm groves until reaching Merzouga, located at the edge of the famous Erg Chebbi sand dunes.
In the afternoon enjoy a camel trek across the Sahara dunes to reach your desert camp.
Watch the magical sunset over the desert and enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner followed by Berber music around the campfire.

Day 5: Merzouga → Draa Valley → Ouarzazate

Wake up early to witness the unforgettable sunrise over the Sahara dunes.
After breakfast return to Merzouga village and continue through Rissani, an important traditional market town.
Drive through the spectacular Draa Valley, famous for its endless palm groves and ancient kasbahs.
Arrival in Ouarzazate.

Day 6: Ouarzazate → Atlas Mountains → Marrakech

After breakfast visit the famous Taourirt Kasbah or film studios of Ouarzazate.
Then drive back through the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass.
Enjoy the spectacular landscapes and Berber villages along the road.
Arrival in Marrakech in the afternoon.
Free evening in the Medina.
